I truly LOVE to eat and enjoy all kinds of foods. I remember my Italian grandmother saying “moderation - just a little bit - even a little bit of poison won’t hurt you.” I believe that food on the whole has gotten a “bad rap”. Fat is bad, sugar is bad, butter is bad, eggs are bad, etc. The problem isn't just the food, the problem is that most people have a hard time stopping at a “little bit.”
I became a Certified Integrative Health Counselor after many years battling to overcome bulimia, food addiction and the diet/ yo-yo syndrome to stay thin. This struggle led me on my path to re-empowering myself through education and self-exploration about what the body truly requires to stay slim, healthy and free.
I now wish to share this experience, hope and knowledge with others. I am dedicated to educating and supporting people in all walks of life and various levels of health on how to evolve into happy, healthy fulfilling lives. I have truly discovered that to quote Hippocrates “we are what we eat” and this is manifested on all levels of our being, body, mind and spirit.
I believe and have experienced that all food is GOOD and that it is okay to enjoy all foods in moderation. I do keep a focus on real WHOLE foods without preservatives, as I believe these are the most beneficial for a healthy life.
About Whole Foods
Whole foods have an electrical vibration that connects to each and every cell in our body. We truly are WHAT WE EAT - the food we eat affects us at the atomic and subatomic levels. There are massive amount of space in the atoms that create us. Scientists are even finding that highly mineralized foods can influence GENETIC expression or DNA. When diet changes, everything changes. What you eat literally becomes your cells, blood, tissues, organs and even your thoughts.
It has been obvious to me over the last 20 years that, although we live in a great country which provides us the lifestyle and freedom that many persons around the world wish to emulate, most Americans are not only overweight, but obese, sick, unhealthy and unhappy. Our hospitals are overflowing, emergency wards filled with suffering people waiting to be seen, doctors leaving hospitals in many states because of not being properly compensated by insurance companies, continually rising health care policies that are not adequately covered, while, at the same time, people continue to eat processed / high fat foods. Even worse is the fact that nobody sits down for a proper dinner with their family anymore. Most people in our society are on such tight, stress-filled schedules struggling to afford their children a so-called “good life” that it is deteriorating our culture.
It is also clear to me that our children and grandchildren will not live to enjoy a lifestyle that we baby boomers are striving for unless we deal with the health crises that is affecting our culture. Health care today is dominated by pharmaceutical companies, medical manipulation, profit driven media deception and corporate greed in the food industry. Chemical-laden, toxically sprayed, genetically engineered junk foods are permeating our culture and most people haven’t a clue about the long-term harm that poor diet creates.
The Solution - My Mission
My mission is to educate and support people to change and transform their lives by custom designing a program based on bio-individuality as a LIFESTYLE CHANGE not a quick fix. Science is now proving that 60% of all health issues and dis-ease can be prevented by lifestyle change. The myth that we are destined to age and get sick is being proven scientifically false. The facts are in and prove that as we age we can and should be healthy, attractive and live long HEALTHY lives. The reality is that only 30% of the aging process is due to gravity, the rest is free radical damage and that can be arrested by healthy diet and proper exercise geared to the individual's needs.
I feel that preventive lifestyle changes - starting at any age - is what should be addressed before reaching the final stages of ill health. Therefore, my program is geared not only to weight loss issues, but total health makeovers in all dis-eases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular issues, cancer and autoimmune disorders. I work with doctors, dentists and chiropractors who don’t have time to work with and support their prescribed programs. This is where I come in - to coach, support and enable my clients to reach their goals no matter what it takes.
Know that when you start my program, it will be a life-changing Journey and that it is one of the MOST IMPORTANT things you can do for yourself.
